Sora Takenouchi's life was complicated even before venturing to the Digital World: her parents weren't together, and being a tomboy, she had difficulty connecting with her mother, at times thinking she didn't love her. She's known Taichi ever since they were young and was on the same soccer team with him. Due to her experiences in the Digital World, Sora reconnected with her mother after realizing that she loved her.
Sora gave up soccer but now enjoys tennis as her choice of sport; she also picked up the art of ikebana-flower-arranging from her mother. Now that Sora's a young woman and in college, she's less tomboyish now than she was in her youth, but is still basically caring and looks out for her friends.
